Default OLD 10.5 mustang to no prep terror street car

U have been off the boards for a long time. Ater getting screwed by several people I was burnt out. Well I got my second wind now. The chassis was built by Jeffers pro cars in the 90's and I have been getting updates done over the last several months. It will be done in a few weeks so I thought I would start posting some pics.
The goal is a street car that is really light but still have roll up windows, factory interior and carpet, sound deadener, factory floors etc. I also want it to hold its own at the no prep events.
It will be a turbo LS with a t400

This is what I started with.

You can see above it was straight out of the 90's with the paint etc. The original owner must have ran out of money because it had galvanized patch panels and carpenters contractors glue throughout. Definitely needed some resto mods.

The front down bars were definitely old school stuff and the tin in the rear was good minus a dent in the drivers side tub that was easy to fix. It had a really nice adj. 4 link that didnt really show any wear. It also had a nice fab housing, wishbone and anti rollbar.

We tube the front to lose some weight and make it easier to work on.

I cut the downbars off and plan to tie them into the tube front.

The front was tubed, it was tied into the strut tower bars and the front tree was added for a one piece removal...again for ease of working on the motor. This is still a street car.

Next the dash and seat and steering wheel had to be redone. The car was made for a 6'6" 350lb guy so the pedals had to be moved up and put a little tilt to the seat. The column was put in and Jeffers added their extension, quick release hub and my ultra light steering wheel.

Dash has black dzus to blend in and all the factory light switches and vents will be added later. The fast dash was installed and stays in place when the dash is removed.

Floor bars where ran under the car so the carpet will cover everything up. ALl the holes in the floor where filled. New air launcher parachute mount done. It is a quick release tied into all the rear tubing.

Jeffers fitted the glass today and window mechanism so I should have pics of the doors with the trim, mirrors etc. tomorrow. All that will be left to do is getting the rear of the car down a few more inches so I can run a 33in tire if I want.

Turbo will be a gtx 88 with a stainless housing. Engine is a simple 6.0 with stock block, crank heads, till it blows then a aluminum Dart 427 with tea 245cc cathedrals.
Tranny is an extreme transmissions top shelf t400 with every billet piece they got. It has a Gruber billet 1-2valve body so I can leave in 1st gear on a good track and 2nd doing no prep. 1st gear is a 2.10. Pt c convertor

Best of both worlds. With the second gear leave griner valve body I can leave in first or second depending on the type of racing I am doing. I can leave with a 2.10 gear or a 1.4 gear.

Pics aren't showing now, well then newer pics. The 1st pic is showing. Should be a super bad *** ride! My guess is your close to me, since Jeffers had a hand in that ride? I am in Alton.

Shocked that you didn't keep the giant "prancing pony" on the dash...LOL
