Default LT headers / cats / true duals out the back

Is this possible on a fourth gen F-body off the shelf?

Yep speed engineering and Texas speed both make good kits and much better priced too. You ‘d just need to buy one suspension piece.

I don't see cats offered by either Texas Speed or Speed Engineering.

Hooker makes a true dual set up for 4th Gen's that doesn't require any special suspension parts. They also make matching headers 1 3/4 and 1 7/8 primary.

HOOKER BLACKHEART TRUE DUAL EXHAUST KIT

PART# 70501413-RHKR

Features:

  • Designed for direct bolt-in connection to Hooker 70201301-RHKR 1-3/4” mid-length headers; connection to Hooker 70201302-RHKR 1-7/8” mid-length headers

OP to answer your question, it is possible BUT you might need to mix and match things which I'm sure you wouldnt want to do. A buddy of mine took the catted pipes from his y pipe and they fit his SE duals with zero modifications. To make it easy on yourself, maybe consider buying the cats separate and have them welded in.

No, not anymore. About 10 years ago, there were off the shelf true dual exhaust systems with cats. No one makes them any more though. As stated above, you would have to modify a few parts to make it work.

Only dual kit that comes with cats is kooks, or the brands I mentioned for 1/3 the price and you can modify it to include high flow cats.

I'd be wary of Hooker headers. My set of Comps weren't milled flat and #8 leaked.

There are a few guys that have done this successfully, myself included.
I have TSP headers mated to Speed Engineering over the axle True Duals with Pacesetter (80-0018) cats and all O2 sensors ( just need extensions). I did everything on the floor of my garage with jack stands, ramps and floor jack. Took my car in to get the cats welded in and will need to take it in again to weld my CME tips back in. (I was thinking about swapping mufflers, otherwise the CME would be on)
There is a “Speed Engineering True Dual Kit” thread on here that I would recommend reading, especially if ur car is lowered. Do some research, some good info to be had.
