MSD Atomic EFI for LS

Tremec T56 Super Magnum

CustomLong Tubes, Flowmaster Exhaust

PW Radiator

No power anything lol.

Full cage and Chromoly from the engine compartment back

4 Link suspension

All Speedhut Gauges

Very cool!! Any idea how much HP you’re putting to the wheels. I’m planning an almost identical drivetrain build for my A body, but I still have a love for the early Z cars. I bet yours flies!!

I’m hoping somewhere close to that 500 at the rear wheels. I have done zero tuning so far, and no dyno work, as the MSD system is still learning but I think with my build I should be in that neighbourhood

I'd love to see back to back pulls with and without that intake tract.

Amazing build so far. Look forward to your progress. The more I see these 240z builds the more I am intrigued to complete one myself. Cant wait to see the power on that setup.

Which LSR Cam did you go with? I am using the 54-457-11 in my 5.7L and love it. Great torque and power band. Easily pulls to 6500RPM.

Dad and I own a 1 owner 70K mile 1983 Datzun 280ZX 5 speed with ttops/leather, ext, its worth some money now but it would be a great drag car.
It feels like a beast when you sit inside.

Great build.

Yes, plan is to build metal flares. Will be buying Europe bumpers and a spoiler but should be good for z parts. Took it to the 1/8 mile in my hometown this last weekend and ran a 8.1 at 90 mph. NO traction in 1st, or 2nd. 60 foots were over 2.0 seconds except one run. This was with no tuning to anything, so I’m happy so far... next year will probably do a pro charger while the moto is out, but need to get traction figured out first...

Very nice build, I have always liked those 240Zs. What does it weigh and what is the front/rear weight ratio? Thanks Jarhead

Had the car on the dyno last night and turns out I’m very limited by my EFI system. We maxed the timing and the motor still had more in it, but put down 422 RWHP and 454 FT LBS
