My very own build thread!! 434CID Mamo top end
This will be a daily driver. I will drive this car to work every day that I am in town, most of that is stop light to stop light. 90% of the time the car will be under 4500 RPMs. I might go to the drag strip a couple of times per year, and that is the only time that the motor will see 7K.
The set up will be using Flex-Fuel (E54) and a Flex-Fuel sensor to knock timing down when I am forced to run 91 octane.
Race Engine Development will be machining the block, installing Darton sleeves, and installing billet main caps.
Katech will be installing their piston oil squirters.
Mamo Motorsports top end and recommended rotating assembly parts.
Probably going to install the motor myself, with the help of a friend that has done a few of these. Hopefully we can knock out the roll-bar and mini-tub at the same time.

Got home from work late one evening years ago, and my wife wasn’t in the house. I went out to the shop and found her under my race car, finishing up some rivets on some new interior sheet metal, to help me get the car ready for a race. True story.
She’s ok...

I would be happy with around 600 RWHP through my Dana 60.
I hope to keep the budget under $25k. That is for the longblock, headers, and fuel system.

I will still have to be able to break the motor in, and go to the dyno for the tune, so I'm probably going to have to ensure that I keep the tank full of Flex-Fuel. I will probably also keep a half gallon of denatured alcohol in the car, in case I am forced to use 91 octane.
