My very own build thread!! 434CID Mamo top end
On the block ask Steve since it is NA to see what he thinks about drilling bay-to-bay crankcase breathing holes in the mains as the 5.3 does not have the "windows' that the other LS blocks have. This is less of an issue on a forced induction set up. I think he (Steve) said drilling the holes was good for 10-20 hp.
This is exciting! Long time coming Eric!
I plan almost identical build to yours and will follow your build closely.
Mine will be solid roller 427 most likely. I just reached out to Steve at RED this week about 6.0 resleeve. 6-8 weeks backlog. No issue, I’m not in a hurry.

You have to pick your battles in life carefully. My wife worked at the concessions at a local short track where I raced before I met her. She spilled a drink in the late Dave Allison’s lap one night when he was visiting. True story.
Got home from work late one evening years ago, and my wife wasn’t in the house. I went out to the shop and found her under my race car, finishing up some rivets on some new interior sheet metal, to help me get the car ready for a race. True story.
She’s ok...

One day I too will join the exclusive LS7-based MMS club.

I went procharger because it's easier...LOL...I remember waiting months for heads before, never again. Ordered a procharger 3 days later it shows up at my door. Within a week working a couple hours at a time after work I had it installed and was started on street tuning.
Do you still plan on installing a supercharger on this motor later on?
The reason I ask is, because the oil squirters and your choice of fuel system seems like overkill for this rather mildly cammed street combo that you don’t plan to rev over 7 grand.

Yep. This build is assuming that I will be adding a blower down the road. It will be a lot cheaper to just add the squirters now, and the fuel system is for Ethanol now, and later. Besides, if I decide to stay NA, the oil squirters will increase the longevity of the pistons.
