Not using MAF, have a bung in Huron Speed cold air plumbing for IAT sensor.
Anyone Please recommend a part number for decent two wire IAT sensor ?
Thanks
.
Same Temp co-efficient and wire pigtail as the OE MAF mounted sensor ?
You have a part number for the RIFE unit ?
. Thanks.
Yup, mine used the factory pigtail but there's other options available.
You have to scale it in the tune but that's really easy.
They react way faster than stock, I got the -10 to 335 degree one because if my IAT's ever go over 335 degrees then I have other very severe issues lol. Air Temp Sensors (IAT/MAT) – Motion Raceworks

Rife standard IAT FTW. It's crazy how fast it reacts
My HURON V4 set comes with a short cold side tube with 3/8 npt bung for IAT.
Not going to use MAF. 2Bar SD is the plan.
(2 Bar SD working very well with the belt drive Magnuson rig, sea level in Alaska winter to 100 degrees in Texas, and 9200 feet south rim of Grand Canyon, Been on there since 2016, never had to **** with anything.)
I didn't like the idea of ruining my powdercoating on my intake tube by welding on a bung, so I went to my fab guy and had him machine me this trick aluminum fitting that slides inside the grommet that comes with the Huronspeed intake pipe. It's flanged on either end, but it needs to be inserted from the inside so it can't blow out under pressure. The outer flange keeps it from popping into the tube ( extremely unlikely, since your IAT would have to fall out in order for that to occur ). Allowed me to mount my RIFE IAT securely. Has flats on the inside to hold it with a wrench while tightening the sensor:

Seems a little ridiculous to me. Why not get the fitting welded in then powder coat your piping?? Regardless that's just another point of wear that your gonna need to keep track of
