i am fairly methodical on tuning so no yolo pulls yet, doing 1-2 pulls every 2 psi boost increment, fuel adjustments, timing conservative since im not messing with plugs right now
PID terms are not right but im getting closer each pull, so theres some oscillation
here is a graph of map/emap graph for the pull shown in the next post.
averages across the pull: map 12.9 psi, emap 12.0 psi
overall im pretty happy so far. i am in a rush to get ready for a race next weekend so im not really trying for any hero numbers but it seems pretty efficient and safe. going to try to get a few more pulls in tomorrow before dropping it off the dyno to get some chassis/suspension/street time in.
i was able to squeeze a few more pulls in before needed to move on to other things. unfortunately the intercooler pipe blew off the throttle body at 6100rpm but i got my best power anyway, at about 18psi
heres another map/emap graph showing its about 1:1. i really need to get one of those emap canisters to absorb the spikes someday.
im confident once i get the boost control dialed in better and have some more time on the dyno i can make a few more hp. i havent even pulled plugs yet, these are the plugs from my old 5.3
plus i really need to put my grown up pants on and RPM++
the 6162s were on a 5.3, 243 heads, SS2/1840 camshaft, tbss intake. heres a graph from that combo.
this pull made 598hp but i had air filters on it. i never put air filters on the 6762s
