I never saw a noticeable difference......just based on weight alone they should be good for maybe .03-.04.

The actual weight of the tire is not what you base it off of.
You have to take into consideration the MASSIVE loss in rotational weight as well as the ability of your car to transfer weight onto the rear tires better due to the nose being lightened up a lot.
Most people pick up about 2 tenths that I know (but this changes based on what wheels you are currently running) I have TT2's that are about 55 pounds each...I expect to see a noticeable difference.
I just got prostars on the front and am waiting to see what I pick up from them.

I KNOW about rotational mass, rolling resistance, weight transfer, etc. I was speaking generally based on the static weight ALONE that should be good for a small amount. But you can't count a weight transfer benefit for a 12 sec. car that may not even be pulling the front wheels.
I have ran my 17x9.5 TT2's and 15x3.5 Prostars back to back and not seen a significant difference. Theoretically, 1-2 tenths is totally feasible, and if you see it great, but don't be pissed if you gain 1/2 a tenth. The faster you are I'd say the more significant the gain will be......

Even though I have not done it yet with my 02 SS , I know that skinnies are one of the best upgrades without touching the motor. I've seen a solid 2 tenths with every F-Body Driver/DragRacer I know. And maybe a little more in good air. Good luck and keep us posted.

Yup, skinnies make a difference in weight, rolling resistance and even roll out.

I'll have a set of 15x4 ConvoPro's and 165R15 Kumho's for sale mid-next week. They're practically brand new with lugs.
