Default Anyone with SLP dual/dual, magnaflow..?

I have been looking to get rid of my Loudmouth for quite some time and I have finally had enough with it. I am looking for a replacement, preferrably SLP dual/dual or magnaflow. Anyone have either of these or a quiet catback? Thanks

you dont run cat's right? either way you will have a loud exhaust.

the magnaflow looks awesome (everything is polished) and it's pretty free flowing and not nearly as loud as the loud mouth. the slp dual/dual is pretty damn quiet but it's also more restrictive that the magnaflow and alot more than the loudmouth.

if i had your setup i would go with a magnaflow.

I really do want the magnaflow, but I figured a SLP dual/dual would be good with cut outs. My car does have cats. The loudmouth is absolutely obnoxious. Grr I might have to buy a new exhaust unless I find a used one

Now you should dump him because the Flowmaster loses HP on F-body's He's bringing you down to a Mustang level

definitly go with the magnaflow steph, i loved how it sounded on my car,and like joe said, its the best looking system too. as far as flowmaster, stay away from it. i picked up over 20 rwh when i took a flowmasteroff my car and switched to the true duals. i know the duals free up a lot of power, but not usually that much. so that kinda gives you an idea of how restrictive they are.

I told him to stop putting in his two cents. The last thing I need is a more restrictive exhaust, cats is enough

I know the feeling Steph , I ran long tubes NO cats with the loud mouth for a DD. Never got pulled over surprisingly. I went with a stock WS6 exhaust/ electric cutout. I made the same HP with the cutout open as I did with the loudmouth if that helps.

I have the SLP dual duals. Brand new in a box. And it's been sitting in my garage for over a year. I could sell them to you, but then you'd have to let me sleep with you.

haha

Sorry if I offended you. I won't be selling my SLP dual duals to anybody, because there's no other exhaust like it in the aftermarket--not to mention that they're no longer available brand new.

you'll be happy with the magnaflow, it's quiet enough and if you want it to be even more quiet you can get a bullet installed.

just dont do the dual/dual, it's too restrictive and once it's in, there is no way to make it flow a little more. mike gained something like 1 or 2 horsepower with his cutout opened when he had a magnaflow on one of his old setups, they flow great.

I know it's mad $, but have you seen the kooks true dual setup that they did for a guy? If ya can float it.. I'd take that route. I think I will be doing it once I have the safety stuff done I need to do, maybe if we can get a few people in on it they might knock it down a little bit. There's a thread about it somewhere on here....

Jay- Budget is a HUGE issue right now. When I do get the exhaust, it will be an X-mas gift as I do not even have a few hundred dollars to fork up right now. But it will definitely be something worth looking up as I was not even aware Kooks made a true dual setup.

Damon, I would consider that offer if you were willing to let it go

Thanks Keith I sometimes forget to even look on ebay and they do have a lot of good deals

Joe, most likely I will get a magnaflow if I can find one for the right price. I have wanted one for I do not know how long. I should have just bought griffs when he had it

Default I have a Magnaflow for you in Vernon, CT

Hello, I see that your interested in getting a Magnaflow for your Trans Am. The exhaust is located in Vernon, CT which should be easy for you if your located in Storrs. In addition, I have a Loudmouth with a XR-1 Borla muffler welded in place if someone is interested. It was done by MTI in Texas. These two exhausts were on my TA, but I finally settled on a Corsa because I prefer the quietness and the exhaust tips.

The Magnaflow was on my car for 1 year. It had a great sound and it's in good condition. Just make me a fair offer and it's yours. Besides, no shipping costs involved.

Just let me know......Andrew

LMAO Well Steph me and Damon live about 10 min from each other. I have 2 SLP dual duals. I'd be willing to give ya both of them for that lol

No seriously. we just installed my LT headers this weekend w/ORY. My friend and member here wilwhite2kss has LT's/ORY and the LM. He has Rasp all over the RPM band. My Dual dual with the ORY doesnt rasp one bit but still sounds good as hell. With your mods I think the dual dual would be perfect for you! Good Luck!

I just bought the dual/ dual a week ago. Sounds perfect with headers/ ory. There was a member on here that had it with a head cam package. It sounds perfect not too loud not to quiet. You can always put a cutout in. I would assume that the magnaflow is gonna be alot louder then the slp. I checked ls1sounds.com and liked the slp sound better. IT didn't really do that poppy sound like the magnaflow does when you shift.
