Default Super Street Driven single digit cars...

How many of you are out there and whats yours setup base?

Meanings Turbo/Nitrous/Engine Displacement/fuel/Trans/Clutch/Stall... the rest of the particulars are assumed.

Also HOW streetable is your car? I mean is it STREETABLE or a true street car. How often is it driven?

I am a fan of a few here... the ones like MightyMouse or at least his old setup for sure that could be driven daily and turn single digit passes with minor changes e.g. tires.

I'm not there yet, but, my goal is 9.9x or faster "Street Car" A/C, Leather!

My current set up is N/A with a not so drag race friendly suspension, 404 with a small cam that everyone laughs at, she put down 10.96 and 10.93 back to back passes... still spinning 27" QTP's, the car weigh's 3720 w/o me!

Street-able was my #1 requirement... My wife all alone drove the car to work 25 miles and drove home, without any problems. She literally understands nothing except to let the car warm up and slowly pause changing from R to N to D when it's cold... by the time you're 1 mile down the road it then drives 'normal'. Since she drove it, I've never heard her talk so much about the fun she had driving a car... racing mini van's.

I have 90% of the NO2 system to run a 2 stage/stand alone. A 150 shot and some suspension should get me to a 9.9x, a 250 will take it to the mid 9's.

So it's a true street car, no bull **** about it, when it get's the 8.5 sec cage it'll still have a back seat !!!

I really strive for a civilized 9 sec street car. I have a.c. and all options at 3950 race weight. Because of vibration feed back I went back to stock rubber isolated lower control arms and panhard bar. I put two flex mesh exhaust pieces in the Y pipe. Stock trans. mount. Now I need to configure a rubber mount for the torque arm because it feeds back too much vibration, then I should be good.

My car is as tame as can be on the street. It's been mid 9's on the exact setup I drive it to work in. Pump gas, MT radials, etc.

I drive my cars on nice days but could DD if I wanted. My 98 blackbird I drove 80 miles from my parents house to the tacoma washington docks when I shipped it up here. Got 18.8 mpg on 90 pump gas, 30" mt drs running at 3,000rpm never missed a beat. Details and video in sig.

I don't own a trailer so I drive 40 miles each way to the track, my only changes are, air down my tires, change plugs. Make multiple 9 second passes. Air my tires back up drive home and stop for dinner.

Then I also load my tools in it and drive 35 miles each way to work in heavy traffic. Drove it around 1,000 miles or more last summer. Which was more then my red bird got.

3900lb raceweight, fully loaded leather etc etc, dvd/ sub in the trunk etc, nitrous, 416 ci, mccleod rxt clutch, 90% stock t56 trans, dana60 w 3.73 gear, gets 12mpg in town, 23mpg interstate, and its very driveable. i never even turn the a/c off.

as far as e.t's ive had a few roadblocks lately so havent made a full 1/4 pass but i just went 6.18@114 in the 1/8th with 825psi in the bottle (no heater and my nano was off) which would have been a high 9.5x pass. if i had ran it out the back and had my nano on (1050 psi in bottle) it would have been a solid 9.5x maybe even a high 9.4x pass.

i havnt weighed it lately , but with the recent changes and some quick math in my head i would say around 2700. the motor is a ls6 crate motor from a sponsor on here and has a warranty so a light car was the best option to go fast with out having to crack a nut or bolt on the motor.

The whole idea behind my Camaro, is to daily driven, which it is, get over 20 mpg which it does. Trap over 140 mph on moderate boost, which it does. Lay rape to liter bikes, Hayabusa's which it has. Honestly any where I go, I drive it, pretty much know nothing short of a turbo or nitrous bike is gonna pull on me very hard.

I'm working on making it more street able, it's a 3200 stall, 3.08 gears, 28 inch tires with a lock up converter, I'm able to cruise at 70 mph. Last month I drove it 14 hours in 2 days, drove from Stl, Mo to Kcir. Did some street and track racing, car cruises and drove home. I didn't get my single digit slip as I wasn't ready to use the transbrake.

After driving to KCIR doing 2 long cruises, On the stock rims, with just some Nitto 555r 275/40/17's I Went 10.4 at 142 mph hitting rev limiter before finish with a 2.0 60 foot. I typically run 1.37 - 1.40 on the break. What bothers me, are people who will say ya but my car is faster, when they run mid to high 8s. But you never see them driving it, when I hop in mine every day. I'd never make it a track only car. It's just to much fun on the street. I'd rather run mid to low 9s and drive it daily.

Im hoping to hit a 9.99 later on this year in the cooler weather. Its already hitting a 100+ here in Texas and my Procharged car does NOT like it one bit. Need to get a tune and few more things ironed out and she'll be ready to rocknroll. Ive been 10.54 @ 134 so far and thats with horrible driving by me. Havent gotten used to rowing 780rwhp yet lol. Its staying 6 speed for a while longer until I get the money for an auto and then I can really see what it does. Im thinkin TH400 and a F1A/C headunit would be a nice combo.

That is not a bad short time for KCIR! Why waste your time there. Nhra leaders ran this track in the ground it use to be considered great. Now it is has been ran in the ground. Some days they prep it if someone rents it and does it themselves. It is always fun to shift into 4th and the back of your car come around 3 feet.

MM's latest setup is every bit as streetable as before... I can testify that he drives his car regularly and could DD it on days when it's not raining.

Default only 1/8 times for now

Working out details and suspension before heading to the 1/4 mile but ran a 5.99 1/8 drive car to work maybe twice a week and to car show/hang outs often. So would assume no problem single digits in the 1/4

But Ls1 3.9 bore stock crank manley rods forged piston 200 shoot nitrous, stock casting 863 heads worked over, race weight 3400 fast intake turbo 400 trans and supported suspension parts, on mickey thompson et streets
