1000hp ehh, specs? videos?

to answer your question id say alot of guys in the 9's are probably running 200 shots. maybe dual stage, i dunno.

you dont buy a stock car throw on a "325" shot and get in the 9's. most of these cars have insane work done to the motors, big cams, heavily ported intakes and heads, forged rotating assembly , alot of suspension, juice and tons of tuning.

i never said stock . cause to be honest i dont see a stock motor getting into the 9's. i was lookin at some of the other threads i was just curious i know what it takes to get into the 9's. i have a 71 prostreet drag car big block 468 brodix heads 1050 dominator tubed and narrowed sittin on 33/16/15 slicks n/a no juice. it runs consistant 9.7's i just want to know how yaw f-body boys r doin it and yeah u could put a stock bottom end ls1 into the mid 9'2 with juice but it want hold up long.as far as the turbo cobra goes check out some websites ull find plenty of videos. its a twin turbo air/air intercooled.ported heads stock cams sullivans intake sct maf and all the other needed supporting mods.the turbos r 67's. if im correct i believe it puts down 1086 hp / 987 tq

If you can push a stock bottem end ls1 to 9.2 then go do it because im almost shure the record is in the high 9.3 area You act like its easy to go sub 10's in a f-body, guss what? Its not. I had a 71 pro street nova, that took a lot less $ to go as fast, maby because it only weighted 2600lbs race weight

9's i hit the 2 on accident . obviously im askin a question about how u boys r getting there as fast as yaw do. so no i dont think its easy for u to get there. and yeah it is easy to get a 2600 lbs car into the 9's at that point it is basically all about traction. my car weight 3400 lbs with driver little more difficult but its a lot easier when u spray and dont go n/a i dont see what the big deal is with u guys on here no offense to everyone but it;s like drivin an f-body automaticaly makes u an ******* i asked a simple question why not just anwser it seriously. besides u should feel good the cobra has about 40k on the engine and supporting mods and only does 9.0's but it is street friendly so why r yaw getting all bent out of shape

At full weight (3300lbs) a good rule of thumb:

11's: 350rwhp or more
10's: 450rwhp or more
9's: 650rwhp or more
8's: 1000rwhp or more

So if a N/A ls1 fbody is making 400rwhp, he'd need a 250 shot to get in the 9's. If he's making 500rwhp NA he prolly won't need much more than a 150 shot. And no, 500rwhp isn't hard to make on a solid roller ls1.

My car is a 68 camaro all steel except hood full interior excpt backseat all glass with a radio and everylight and wiper works. The engine is a Chester Houghinton 602 with a Dart intake 2 1250 Bill Mitchell carbs stock out the box profiler heads rossler t210 trans ladder bars 3180# 33853 with me in it. If you live in MD VA or DEL you have seen it I race Fri Sat an Sun and have been to Orlando before.

so what?, your talking about a dragster or something, john force style but way slower.

thats plenty believeable, my old neighbor had a 67 that was a sub 9 s car, wasnt at all street legal though and was sponsered in the local circuit.

alot of guys here are running i would say under 400ci, and their streetable cars. 9's on a car that can be driven around town and on the highway is a pretty good accomplishment

It's all in the tune and the chassis has to work. My car is a street car no not a drive 200 miles a day but I put about 1500 miles on it a year putting around.
