I have been in the 9's for a while now, but the only thing is... mine is a Ford She is completely a street car, and is now fuel injected. Let me know... Oh yeah, I have a video of my first 9sec. run, and all of my time slips.

 

Sorry forgot, It is a '68 California special Mustang. 351w stroked to 383 cu. in. brodix heads, 10.48:1 comp. (for pump gas), 200h fogger, C4 w/around a 4000 stall, 9" w/3.89's, still using leaf springs in the stock location.

I would vote yes for you if I could see the timer... it didnt really look like you beat the other car by 2 sec... but I could be wrong. Mods... where you guys at?

 

if you listen real close, you can hear them announce the time, 9.79. anyhow, I will have a scan of the time slip soon. I found out today though, that the list is limited to LSx cars only. I will still get that time slip on here though.

 

 

Sorry about the size of that picture. But as you can see, it wasn't 2 secs, it was closer to 1 -1/2 secs faster. I spent all day at the track that day, tring to run a 10, on the motor through the mufflers, kept coming up with 11.0's. I wasn't going to spray it till I got my first 10sec motor pass. So I finally took off the cutouts and ran a 10.98@123. Next run was spray. That is the only spray run I got to make that day because as soon as I made it, i got taken to the principals office. Needed a few things fire suit, 5point harness and a hand full of other things.
