9s WITH THIS TYPE SET UP.......

I AM SHOOTING FOR THE 9s AND WHAT I HAVE IN MY CAR IS IN MY SIGNATURE. I KNOW I HAVE A HEAVY AZZ CAR BUT I HAVE THE SPARE AND BACK SEATS DELETED BUT THAT FREE'D UP MAYBE 100 LBS. I AM GETTING A 3400 STALL AND ALSO I HAVE A 6.0 AND TRANS. FOR BACKUP. BUT I AM RUNNING 8 PSI RIGHT NOW AND PLAN ON GOING TO 10 PSI SOON. I STILL HAVE TO GET STRONGER REAR END PARTS AND DRIVE SHAFT. BUT WHAT DO YALL THINK. IM JUST WANTING INPUT ON THIS. LET ME KNOW THANKS.

I appreciate your optimism, but... There are folks with alot more into their car than a STS kit that are more than .5 seconds from a 9-second time. My guess would be mid-low 11s if you have decent 60s.

i know you need more than just a turbo kit. but like i stated shooting for 9s with my mods in signature(04 GTO-STS turbo kit,85mm intake/TB,stg 3 806 heads,224/230 .571/.581 114lsa cam,STS tuned predator,TB bypass). the kit is at 8psi right now and i will be uping to 10psi. plus i need a stall but besides that what do you guys think. my buddies 04 m6 runs 12.3s with just stg 1 243 heads, 113lsa cam, full exhaust, on DRs. so my car has stg 3 2.02/1.57 valves and 114lsa cam plus my turbo kit so i see low 11s high 10s with stall @ 7psi. but when i up the boost to 10psi low 10s maybe 9.9s. im just asking opinions thats all. i work 7 days a week(nights) so i dont get time to go to track. thats why im asking. thanks

I'VE HEARD OF 3 IN THE 9s AND NUMEROUS IN THE 10s ON STOCK BOTTOM ENDS AND STOCK REAR ENDS. SO I GOT MY WORK CUT OUT.

What turbo do you have for your STS...GT67? GT70? I have a GT76 with a built 408, DiffTechnics 9" and do not expect to go nines. Maybe a 140mph trap, but not nines.

If you knew what all Kenny (BlewByU) had to do to get his into the nines...it is the dose of reality that woke me up. You could break into the 10s with even a GT67...shoot for that. Install it, tune it, go to the track and work from there. Hopefully you will surprise us and go straight to the nines!

I can see high 11's with some good tires. It takes ALOT of power to get that heavy thing into the 9's.

i don't think anyone who lists a throttle body bypass as a mod is gonna be in the 9's anytime soon. maybe it's just me.

dude, not being mean to you or anything, but you dont have even half of what it takes to go 9s right now. doesnt mean you cant in the future, but you have a long way to go.

Seriously, why do people ask if they can run a certain time? I spend less time running a number at the track than I do typing up a thread.
