Texas Speed seems to have the cheapest ported l92 heads at roughly $1,100. You're looking at spending more for WCCH, and greg good heads.

my motor is still being built, but im hoping for low 9's - high 8's

HKE 408
WCCH L92's
Beck SM intake with some n2o

it will be a hydraulic roller and should be spinning to about 7300 rpms's or so but we will figure that out once it is getting tuned. And will be run on 93 octane with around 11.3:1 compression and c16 in the stand alone.

I'm building a 421 with hand ported L92's. I'm also looking at spraying, how big of a shot do you plan on going? I am working with Thunder Racing on getting a cam spec'd, and I plan on using the stock L76 intake. How friendly are these top end setups with juice?

im not using the l76, but my whole setup is designed for a very large shot so as long as you have a good flowing exhaust and a well spec'd cam to get that exhaust flowing out of the head then it should be very good for nitrous. but a very important is the cam being spec'd while keeping nitrous in mind...

I plan on keeping the cam somewhere in between nitrous and n/a friendly-hopefully only limiting me to a 200 shot. With the pistons I have I most likely shouldn't do more, haha. Do you use a plate style w/carb or are you still fuel injected?

Default l92

Mine should be easily in the 9s on the motor as soon as I get the suspension and ignition lined out. It is a 438 inch, iron block, hydraulic nitrous roller with L92s with just a nice cleanup on the ports, no major work done to the heads. It runs all day on 91 octane with an out of the box L76 carbed intake and 750 Pro Systems carb. I have had a lot of trouble with the MSD 6LS system so I am switching to a front distributor. Next major order of business is an anti-roll bar to get the 60' times back where they were when the 396 LT1 was in it.

No one is "easily" in the 9's on motor-much less a hydraulic on 91 octane at this cubic inch range. Nitrous motor too? This I gotta see!
Post back up when you run the #, then I'll believe it.
We don't bench race on this site-since you're fairly new I figured I'd let you know.
