Question About Chevy 350.
My dad and I did this last winter,

I've done a lot of work, stayed after school a lot to help my autos teacher with his personal vehicle. He knows I like working on motors and is letting me rebuild an older Chevy 350.
Details, it's carbed so it has to be a bit older. We're rebuilding after some kids last year rebuilt it but did a horrible job. Our goal is to get a reliable running motor set up on a test stand to dyno and give demonstrations ect.
So today my friend and I finished getting to down to the bare block. Talked with the teacher and he said he wouldn't mind letting us have some fun with it. So we talked of putting a mild cam in it.
So now for my question, whats a good cam for the motor ? We are looking for something mild. Nothing crazy, just something to make it lope a little. Price is also a factor. It would be nice if it was like, eh $150 or less ?
It's a flat tappet motor as well. Not sure if they all were or not ? I know Ford switched over to roller parts after a while but no idea if Chevy ever did. I'd appreciate some help, thanks.
