shift at 5800 to 6000.
28" tire 4.33 gear
th400 with a 2.75 1st, 1.57 2nd, and 1 to 1 high
convertor around 4600-4800

I think with a cam like that in 400 cubes, a 210-215cc head from Dart or AFR will want a shift point closer to 6200-6400. If she's got good rod bolts, let her fly..
Check out the cam card...I'm not sure why people choose a shift point...Seems logical to put it on a dyno and see where it makes power and choose from there at least...and ultimately run it at the track using various shift points, recording data and timeslips and see what it likes best. Am I wierd?
Don't answer that...Bottom line: It'll fly with that converter/gear/trans combo at 3200lbs!! I see it reving WELL past 6000 through the traps with big mph. Goodluck!

You dont need anything with spectacular high lift numbers since your cam is on the smaller side.
I have a set of World Sportsman II's on my 400 with some work done to them and they make great power. Motor dynoed 531/529 at the flywheel with them, a RPM manifold and a Hyd. roller cam with .586/.562 lift.
