Yeah and what is sad is i went thru all that trouble then realized the pain in the *** with the tuning software. So i turned around and sold the harness. So now I got to wire everything up twice for the truck and the car.

Badass man, I have been really doing some thinking on motor swaps since the new LTX from dart may be coming out, but an all aluminum big block would be so sick in one of these cars, especially if it is fuel injected

But don't really worry about the T56. Theres a guy with a stock t56 that has about 400 or so passes on it with sticky tires and hes dropping the clutch at 6200 rpms and running 10.30s consistantly on low 1.5 60s

But take some more pics I really want to see this thing come together. And also can you PM me some info on the brake kit you got??

Later man, and good luck on the progress

Cool project man. I have been thinking about swapping to a big block in my DD Tahoe, but with gas prices going up again I may stick an LT1 in there.

But I'm not sure on oil pan clerence, but judging from the pics you might be ok.

Good luck

Taht sucks man, It looked like it would be close. Hopefully you don't have to notch the pan, but it looks like you may be good at welding aluminum judging from the looks of the intake So that will probably make it easier

Its coming along though

Hey, Actually I am using mega just for efi. The tuning is relatively easy the hardest part was getting it to idle with the ac on

what was the problem? dropping rpms too much when you turned the ac on?

Im using megasquirt for fuel only, not ignition. a bbc tune would be a great starting point.

IF you have a wide band it will literally take you minutes to get it close. I honestly got it running. and selected the whole ve table and added 5 steps to it and it was close. I wanted it to be a little rich at first. then lean if you know what i mean. I am reading your post as we speak. You gotta get me set up with my own forum.

Unfortunately I am getting rid of the Trans Am. I don't have the time or money I go to basic July 1st. And I have about 700 bucks to get the heads back fix the motor buy another mega box etc. So I am going to put the 6 speed in my truck and sell the rest. And keep the other 8.1. Which will make more power then the stock motor in the truck now.

See this post if you already haven't

either the wideband was not working or it was way lean because it was pegged at 22.4 . once I put some exhaust on it I'll attack it again. it was way too loud to think

sorry that you are selling the ride. was a really cool project. the truck is hot too

Well first off make sure the IAC is completely closed and set the idle just like a carb. And make sure the wideband is just monitoring not correcting anything. Then when you get it to idle and adjust your VE table.

What sucks is mine almost runs perfect but this stupid f*cking CTS is not working right and I cant seem to get anyone to give me a definitive answer. And until i get it right i cant fix the cold start enrichment

Well I may be in luck, I sold the wheels. Now if i could just sell the brakes. I am going to throw a stock motor in it to get it moving under its own power til after basic training. I had some guy say he wanted to buy the car. But as usual talk is cheap
