Default Anyone looking for some bbc tall valve covers?

I understand this is the wrong forum to post things up for sale. But since this is the sbc/bbc section I thought I might try and have better luck.
I have two pairs of tall bbc valve covers for sale at a awesome price.
1) I have a pair of really tall chrome - cast iron aluminum valve covers - they have the engraved flames into them. Paid 175.00 for these. Looking to get 50-shipped. They are used but in great condition. Will clear stud gridles.
2) Last pair -- brand new never used BBC bowtie covers - chrome - tall but will not clear stud gridles. They have the engraved red bowtie followed by chevorlet. Only put one on the engine to see if It would fit - cleared the rockers but not the stud gridles. Paid 115.00 for these. Really nice covers - asking 70.00 shipped or 110shipped for both - Mike

I will let this thread hang for a while, no harm as long as it is not a constant thing, i might even make a sticky which we could post links to FS SBC BBC parts though.

So...are the first valve covers cast iron? Or aluminum? Or a hybrid of the two?

The first set of valve covers are cast iron aluminum - which are the flames. The second set which is the bowtie covers are just steel. Just figured I would post this in the sbc/bbc forum. Excellent deal for anyone looking for a set of valve covers

Yeah correct the valve covers are cast iron aluminum. It's defently a well built heavy duty valve cover - these list in jegs/summit for close to 200.00.

No one make a iron valve cover at all, it must be cast aluminum, iron and aluminum do not mis to make a cast iron aluminum.

Cast aluminum then. I was told they were cast iron aluminum. But they are defently heavy and built well
