A 383 would be a very bad idea for his Z car moge11. His car will end up at around 2300 lbs. race weight without a driver. He will also be limited to how much tire he can fit under the wheel well even with fender flare's. We just finished scaleing my freinds 240z car today and he was only 1589 lbs. w/o glass, engine, tranny, and interior. My suggestion would be to make a 327 out of the current block so that he can hook up the TQ that the car never had from the factory.

The guy I'm buying my pistons and rods from told me he wouldn't sell me anything bigger than a 525 lift cam, he told me anything biggerand it would be too damaging on parts on the street. What would you all run with the AFR 210's?

i believe they can handle up to a 590lift, so i don't know what you would hurt other than if the springs couldnt handle a huge cam

Well the springs are good to 710 lift but I was thinking of a cam with around 590 lift. Is that too much for the street?

anything over 600lift imo is getting a little aggressive for the street. Just have a stall built to match your cam.

I really don't know how a big cam will react with a stick because ive always owned auto's. You might need to turn your idle up a little, but that cam doesn't have an extremely high lift so its not going to want to stall and die at idle.

Maybe someone will chime in with more experience can help you out
