Default New parts-Need opinions

I'm looking to purchase a mechanical water pump for my small block 350 and would like to know who has the best experience/results with.

Also im in the market for a 1inch carb spacer, and want to know if buying Wood or plastic is better than aluminum. Again, i just wondering what is the best overall product.

Well, a stock water pump has always served fine to me as long as i had a good radiator.

As for the spacer, wood or plastic helps keep some heat from the carb, but probably not enough to make a difference with real world numbers.

no personal preference as to edelbrock-victor series, weiand, summit brand. stock replacement is fine.
I mean theres a carb spacer from summit thats 13$ and the same damn thing from edel. is 23$. Curious to know if summit brand is just as equivalent

I've heard good stuff about WIlson carb spacers, I personally used a Mr. Gasket one when I ran a quadrajet on an Edelbrock intake and that required alot of work getting it where the back two barrels would open up.
