Mighty Demon! Carb guys please come in!!!
ok guys so i just finished up my 6.0 build for my 1994 camaro, it was time for a carb. I found a guy that had one that had been on an engine starting stand only. Its a might demon 750, its never had the out of the box tune messed with. The problem is that it was supposed to have mechanical secondaries but when it gets here its vacum. I want to use this carb really bad is there any way to convert it to mechanical. Please help ASAP! All input is great!

The mechanical secondary circuit normally has an accelerator pump, how are you planning to overcome the lean condition when the secondary's open without any accelerator pump?
Making the primary accelerator pump bigger might help, but it will be difficult to get good drivability.
Sounds like a great way to get the car to bog/stumble.
What makes you think that a mechanical secondary is better?
With the right spring in the secondary system the vac unit may actually be faster on the track.

I'm currently running two Demon carbs right now on different cars, definitely some nice carbs. It's always funny to read the die hard holley guy's comments though lol. If the seller mislead you, you should try and get your money back or you'll never be satisfied because it's not what YOU wanted or originally bought. Google Joe Sherman 383 615hp, he uses Demon carbs with vacuum secondaires and makes some hp. In the article he swapped to a mechanical and made a little more hp though with that engine. Worst case scenario you keep the carb, and still make some serious hp.
