ok cool thanks on the heads, ive priced a set of eldebrock heads but =whats the differents in oval and rectangle port heads.

Oval port for low rpm torque, rect port for high rpm h.p.

It all depends on what you will use the BBC for, if the Impala is used mainly on the street and occasional strip use, then get the oval heads. If racing, go with the rectangular heads.

on a budget you could go with some 049, or 781 casting iron heads.... if you have the coin AFR's new oval ports are sweeeeeet.
