Default SBC in Foxbody?

I have found a few threads on swapping a SBC in a ford foxbody, but everyone rambles on about different headers and what not. Anyone have a link to do the swap? A step by step guide or something with ALOT of information

The LS series small block is very popular in a fox. Lots of conversion stuff around. Just google it.

Ive helped alot of my customers with this. AJE covers the K Member, Motor Mounts, Trans Crossmembers and any suspension pieces you need. I stock Kooks headers for the swap but as stated dynatechs work well too. And any SBC performance parts you need, Let me know! we have a huge inventory of most popular brands.

Did you run aftermarket control arms? I hope I can just get me a AJE k-member, headers and do the swap. I plan to make my own trans brace since I am not sure my 700r4 has the same mounts as any other trans. What was the biggest part on converting the driveshaft in order to work? Does a custom shaft need to be made or can you use a GM yoke?

I know the cheapest route is never the best, but what would be a good way to save some cash?

i used the factory a arms. made my own trans brace like you stated. i had a driveshaft made. not gonna chance something like that. but you have to run coil over conversions on your front struts with the aje k member since there is no spring mount on the k member

Hit this guy up and see what his setup is. I know him from another forum and he's selling this car for $10k with an enclosed trailer. He ran 9.66 on this pass lifting just after the 1/8 mile. Car has 4.80 gears and won't make it to the end of the 1/4. Needs 4.30s to make it a 1/4 mile car.

That is the spring perch kit you would need. And just so you know, Part # MU-7050 also fits the 700R4!

BTW, when you go to his main page, check out the what speed shop is sandwiched between the Summit and Jegs logo ..

I'd like to bump this as for I still have a great opportunity to own a foxbody at a very cheap price. Any ideas what exactly I will need for the conversion, trying to save the most money at first then upgrade later! I understand k-member, headers, spring perch kit, but what else? Anyone got a run down on everything I need

Well looks like this is my cheapest and affordable route I am taking, hopefully picking up the fox body tomorrow! Needs some work but I't will be an awesome little toy for around town.
