SBC with a 4l60e?
ok first off i hope this is the right section for this haha...
secondly this isn't the kind of swap that most people do, you know were they have a 1993 s-10 with a 4.3l v6 hooked to a 4l60e and they pull the engine and wonder if they can hook up a SBC to it...
no this is what im dealing with.
I have two s-10s a 1993 and 1984.
the 1993 is 4.3l v6 with 4l60e
the 1984 has a 350 with a medium sized cam and headers carburetated hooked to a 350 turbo trans
I'm having transmission problems in the '84 so i want to put the 4l60e under it
from what i have read, the only way to do that is either go manual or buy a ridiculously expensive shift control most of which are more than $800
so if you guys would please help me and my dad out i would appreciate it...
and if it cant be done i will be selling the tranny and v6 if anyone is interested they both have under 30k miles

Don't quote me, but yes you can. It has been done, I know a few people over at TGO have done it. You need a stand alone controller for the tranny, and I think it will mostly bolt up to the back of the engine, but IIRC you will be missing a bolt.
