Hello guys. I run a 79 chevy pickup pulling truck. Stock class. Not drag racing like most of you are use to but a motor is a motor. I'm gonna show what I've done need some suggestions from you guys as far as HP, RPM ability, and any thoughts you have, especially heads.
Block: factory tall deck 10.2" deck height
.060 over, torque plate honed, line bored
Crank: factory Tall deck forged crank rebalanced
rods: Eagle 6.700"
Pistons: Icon forged Cant remember model came to about 10.5 with a 118CC chamber
Clearances: .007 piston to cyl wall., mains are all about .003 and rods are all about .0028. thats how the machinist set it
I have a two sets of 781's but am not sure what heads to run.
Had a mechanical cam go flat piece went through oil pump and spun a bearing caught it and salvaged everything but cam lifters oil pump and bearings
I'm planning on going with a roller cam this go round, any suggestions?
Class restrictions are: cast heads, cast intake, cast exhaust manifolds
thanks guys,
Luke
