I had to beat the passenger sidewall and heater box to get the headers to fit. I worked on this with the car lifted and the engine on the K-member. Thats the best and easiest way to do this. Also I cut alot off the corners of the stock K-member.
As far as what oil pan to use. I was able to use a stock 454 oil pan, but it did take hitting the K-member in a few places. Hitting the K-member probably wasn't nessacary but it always plenty of room under the oil pain.

i glad i'm not the only one that had to do the exact same thing
on the corners of you k-member did you put any plate over where you cut or did you leave it open??
