Default scat 9000serie 383crank

do the balancing job on there get expensive? are the balanced good out of the box?im getting it balanced anyways but if it gets to expensive all try to swing for a 4340crank i heard the cost less to balance

and i read there quite strong im looking at about 450crank hp +150-200 shot

will it handle it?

and is it true l19bolt on esp rods are god for 1000hp?

i was told it would hold alot of power for my 9000 350 crank.. to balance the rotating assembly should be 150-200 bucks.

The Scat cranks do need balanced. With the KB pistons they had to remove a bunch of weight because they are overbalanced. My machine shop said that this is typically just the opposite of Eagle cranks that they have to put a load of heavy metal mallory in them to get them to balance.

i work at Ray Barton racing engines and balancing cranks is what i do. I balance alot of scat cranks. I would definitly get a scat over an eagle crank. If plan on putting that much power with the nitrous definitly go with the 4340 forged crank. I or H beam rods with arp 2000 bolts. and set of diamond or je forged nitrous pistons. My personal 383 scat forged crank I had to take about 500 grams off of each end to balance it. get forged parts and spend the money for a good balance job
