SBC in an LS1 Breakdown

I would like a breakdown of what parts are avail, what will have to be custom made, some prices, and expected pros and cons of putting an SBC in a LS1 vette or z or bird. There is another thread I read that states that there are heads that will fit and "I think" will allow me to use the LS6(x) intake and FI system. Anything else that I need to look for.
