Compression Ratio - 87 LG4 305 heads on a 355ci

Default Compression Ratio - 87 LG4 305 heads on a 355ci

I can't remember what CC's these LG4 305 heads are, if I remember correctly they make the compression ratio too high on a 350 correct? I kinda figured the small combustion chamber and valves would hurt the HP more so than making power. What's the story on running 305 heads on a 350?

im almost postive they are 58cc combustion chambers the compression would prob be around 10.0 with the factory style dished piston and around 10.5 with a flat top, Those heads suck i wouldnt run them on anything other than an 305, you would be better off buying some 350 heads and sacraficing some compression get atleast 1.94 intakes and 1.50 exhaust i know the lg4 heads are tinny, if you had the money you can pick up a set of vortec heads for 500 new and a used set for around 200, but you will then need a vortec style intake. hope this helps

They are 58 cc heads that might be able to feed your 350 up to 3500 rpm before the small cc int runners run out of steam. I would agree with the vortec heads or some aftermarket heads. They are redesigned for bigger int runners, more efficient combution chambers, and better flow. They are a easy 30-70 HP bolt on. I have a wholesale account were I can get the heads much cheaper than mail order. I can get the vortec chevy heads with screw in studs bare for $215 each plus shipping or assembled with high quality valves and springs for $315 plus shipping(I will customize your valve springs to match your cam).
