Default pics of my 355 build up

i am finnaly putting it back together for the second time after my machinest didnt put the rear cam bearing in far enough and toasted a bunch of stuff , these are some pics of the first build up.
350 4bolt main block .030 over decked and lined honed
355 balanced eagle rotating assembly cast crank forged rods and hyp pistons flat top
Brodix Ik200 aluminum heads 200 cc intake runners 2.02 intake 1.60 ex 64cc
edelbrock performer rpm airgap fully ported
speed demon 750 vacume secondaries
comp cams extreem magnum 501-510 lift 440-446 duration 110 lsa
comp cams 1.61 promagnum fully roller rockers
comp cams magnum hardend pushrods
mallory distributor and wires
ARP main bolts, rod bolts, head bolts, intake bolts, header bolts

Looks good! Sounds like a nice setup. I'm in the same boat but am waiting on my AFR heads and still choosing a cam.

Sweet!!! Makes me really wanna get going on my 383 that's been sitting for 3 months. You've got a super nice '85. I also have an 85 shorty that I daily drive. Got any more pics of yours?

Looks like a pretty nice setup. You plan on running it at the track, if so what do you expect? Should be in the low 13s in that truck. Very nice indeed.

Thanks for the coments, im getting ready to put 4.11 gears and order my slicks and skinnies, i home to be in the mid to high 12's.

2500 stall seems a bit on the low side for that cam. If you are looking for mid/high 12s your combo will have to be spot on. On street tires im 12.7 with much less weight than you and a similar motor.

Make sure you double check that The machine shop put the cam bearings in the right spot, and check all your clearences, my machinest put my rear cam bearing in wrong and toasted my cam and main and rod bearings and he didnt stand behind it, hope everything goes together good,

nothing really special. there gonna be close to stockers. my brother and i are gonna build them. I'm building my engine right next to his so what his not gonna use, i am going to use if i can. what size valves do u have?

they are 2.02 1.60, you and pick a set of vortecs for about 100-200 and get them rebuilt vortecs have 170cc intake runners versus about 150cc for some stockers, mine are 200cc, you know what size cam your ganna go with? make sure you get the right springs for the cam.

ide rather not have to break anything motor wise for awhile after having to pull it out of my truck and dissamble it and then reassemble it and put it back in, kind of tiring,
