Cam doesn't lope?

Default Cam doesn't lope?

Just this motor together for a friend.
355, eagle crank, rods, speed pro 10:1 pistons,Dart Pro V1 215cc with 2.05 intake 1.60 exhaust, Comp XE 240/246 @.050 .507/510 lift., Summit brand 1.6 Roller rockers. Edlebrock Performer RPM intake and 750 carb.

The car just doesn't have a nice lope to it. It hits hard but just not a good lope to it. I am not concerned as the car runs strong but can't figure out why it idle's so smooth. Any Suggestions?

you didnt list the LSA. depends on that, and there's your "lope"

What idle? What timing? Manifold vacuum? What exhaust system? Can we get a video with sound to hear what you mean by no lope? Lots of people have difference definitions of lopey. Carb is a bit big for the application, and the intake is a dual plane, which should help you acheive a smoother, lower idle speed. Look at setting the idle down around 700 it it will run there, and you should be able to get a lopey sound and feel. Be careful in setting up your carb. With the design of the intake, you won't have the best off idle performance if you do not get the accelerator pump and idle circuit set decently. Use your vacuum advance if you can.

That duration should beat the ground @ 1000 rpm, somthing is wrong!!!

LSA has a large part. 112 lopes a hell of a lot harder than 114 and so on. List the LSA.

Wheres the timing at? Advance or locked? Mufflers really smooth things out.

If you want it to sound bad, build it bad. hehe A single plane intake would be fun to try on a good dyno day. It should peak HP in the 6200+ range and might want the single. Goodluck!

I will have to get my friend to get the cam card and check the LSA. The idle is set at 900 RPM. I will get other info to yall as soon as I can, guy let his other "buddy" mess with the car so I have no idea where everything is set now so will get back to yall soon.

You should be able to get a lower idle speed than that, are you running an automatic?

should be ground on a 110
that cam doesnt really have a ratical lope to it. Add cats and cheesy exhaust and it cleans up the lope. You may be able to get it down to 800 rpm idle.
