whatsup guys, i was thinking about picking up a 86+ iroc-z with a 350, are those 350's 4 bolt mains? thanks

There was no factory 350 in 1986 on the F-Body platform. They were introduced in 1987.

well 86+, + as in newer.. so yeah, that would include an 87 or anything til 92.. i just used 86 as a random starting point , so 4 bolt main or no

In a third gen I could be wrong but I'm 90% sure all where 2 bolt mains

I believe only the truck engines had 4-bolt mains in the 80's and early 90's. As far as I know the cars all had 2 bolt mains, unfortunately.

IROC was only till 1990 so that would be your limit, 87-90, there were only 4 bolt mains factory in HD trucks 3/4 tons and corvettes, hope this info helps, a 2 bolt will hold 500 HP, ive done it.

yeah you guys are right, they are 2 bolt mains. i asked a buddy of mines brother who built one up and he said the same thing, not to be afraid of the 2bolt because they still can handle a considerable amount of power

yes, they'll be 2 bolt mains, and can hold 500 crank hp. a good thing about them is you can convert them to splayed 4 bolt and be stronger than a factory 4 bolt main block
