Yep, I did it a long long time ago to an '87 ford work van with a 302. I poured it in and it ran fine. Parked it overnight. Next morning it hardly started and when it did it sounded like everything was loose, it had lifter tap, bearing knock, you name it.

Other attempts to kill this thing that failed were running in 1st gear bouncing off the rev limiter for 40 miles, nothing.
Going about 60 mph, neutral foot to the floor then reverse, it just stalled turned the key and it started right back up.

OT slightly but I used to drive a POS toyota, 1992 I think. You could run it up to 80mph and put it in 1st but a safety would keep it from downshifting and over revving BUT I figured out when you turn the key off it WILL go into 1st. And um make some really weird noises and never run again.

Drain the oil and add brake fluid. It will die and when the guy checks he will find nothing wrong with it. If he checks and finds water, sand and **** in it, you and your friend will have it good with him.

Didn't know the 305's had rev limiters?

My brothers car didn't have one... learned that the hard way.

but seriously I had a tbi 305 in my old camaro and it wouldnt blow at all, I abused that thing, had it 2 years changed the oil once, revved it to the moon at least 10 times a day, and it still ran like a champ. They dont make enough power to blow them selves up

Loosen up a few of the head bolts. Dont take them out or loosen them to much. Just pull the torque off of them. Then it will get a head gasket leak in a few days.

I once had a big block 402 and putting a stick on the gas pedal wide open couldn't kill it. Good luck!

easy to do. Add adid to it. Can be bought at any local store. Let it sit for the night and the next day you will be pulling the motor...

EDIT read someone elses post about that lol

Trust me the acid works, just don't be the one who drives it after you put it in. I put a pint into six quarts of oil and it ran fine when parked. I started it in the morning, sounded like there were no bearings in it.
I did this to an old work truck and I was at the shop a few hours after they got it in, they said they have no idea what happened, only thing we found was the oil smelled burnt, but they drained it into an huge can with other used oil so there went their chance of an oil analysis.

Or add anti freeze so it looks like it was caused by a blown head gasket

Drain "ALL" of the oil, start and let it idle till it seizes, then put the oil you drained right back in there and tell um, dad the motor won't start

Too bad you can't get the oil pan off, sure would be fun to loosen up some rod bolts and give it hell.

I know a guy who has killed 2 motors by leaving a rag in the intake, that would be kind of obvious though
