I will be putting a set of 8mm LS1 valves w/beehive springs here in the near future, but first I have to clear a few other projects at the machine shop. I don't have a flow bench yet ($17,000 for the one I want), but I will see if I can run them to another machine shop that I know to be able to get some flow number's (his bench reads almost identical to AFR's). The heads were ported by the customer for his circle track car.

Well, I just called CarQuest and Rich said he should have the crank done by Wednesday. Hopefully that works out. Will have shortblock together this weekend in that case.

Also, Comp 918's and Gm retainers will be here at the end of the week! Save myself $120 over the Precision Race Components Titanium retainers....TSP says they may never get them again.

Heh, yea. When i was looking for a house i was like, "Two car garage, enough room for a 60 gallon air compressor, a 4 wheeler, tools and some parts to lay around. I found what i was looking for. But, on that note, it is running, needs to be tuned badly but **** the damn thing wraps quick as hell, i thought the car torqued before, **** scared me. Here are some more pics...

Good luck with your, i hope it comes together for you ASAP, pics when you can!!!

doing cam bearings at 9:00am tomorrow. Then gonna drop the crank in clean up rods and pistons, reintall them, get the heads cleaned up and installed and go from there depending on weather. Got to pull other motor out of the car.

Damn, you are still behind a bunch of work ahead of you. Clearanceing the damn block took a bit of time from me, not to mention the Hooker headers took a bit to get them in. Nothing serious just some more time.

Im not in a hurry with it. I want to make sure everything is right. I might still do some more ****, like mill the heads. Still undecided there.
I got the cam bearings in. I just need my rod bearings. My local parts store is closed today. They were there on Saturday, but I was rushing around for my brothers wedding. Tomorrow will be a good day if its not raining.

Sweet, i drove mine today, it runs great, i have the limiter set to 6000 and it hit that wanting to go further so i am going ot leave it at 6 for a while. I had no oil pressure and found it was the cheap *** "Faze" gauge was all, installed a cheap mech unit and it was all good, 50 @ idle and 90 lbs at revs above 3000.
