He's in our prayers. Good reason this race should NOT be on the Street.
Josh, Thacker yall are both welcome to have this race at the Musclecar Evolution 1/4 Mile Saturday on November 22nd at Silver Dollar Raceway. Thacker thats only about an hour away from you on a SATURDAY so no excuse. Lot safer that way.

I simply offered you a chance to race at our track day under controlled conditions for the very reason lemon pointed out. The conditions of the race otherwise are the same

Borrow some drag radials (if you have friends) or buy them (you plan to win $750 right?)
Let's do this at that time... hell it's a near 3 hour drive and I'm willing to show... cash ready....

There was a girl killed in Little Rock out at the Street Races a couple of years ago, the guy walked away with barely any injuries. He was the driver, lost control, and went backwards into the Trees.
There was a guy killed in Conway, AR, on the street I guess racing someone, there was a thread about that not too long ago.
This stuff happens, take it to the Track since you have the opportunity.
I've raced on the Street, my GF wanted to ride with me once, I will not let her ride with me. I don't even race any more really, just cruise out with the people I know and talk to other people.
Hope your friend comes out alright Lemons.

latest update: he has some major bruising on his brain.. and still no feeling/movement on the right side of his body.. his vitals are stable though.. so i guess thats good news.. as far as everything else....
thanks again for the prayers and everything you guys.. will keep you updated, and still trying to find time to write a thread about the night.. some pretty crazy things went down.

I feel bad for your friend... I can picture all kinds of scenarios leading to an accident. My best wishes are with him...
Considering I found out that I'm to be a father last night (first child) being at the track makes me feel better.
I would considier one last street race as a part of my youth... and I'm willing to make it a big one for $750 one shot.... and you know thacker... if you want to make it for $250 on your end... fine.... sooner the better.
I'd rather do it at the track for bigger (or any real) cash.

The GTO has been better than mid 12's... and there's no kit on it. It's an intake / exhaust / tune / pulley, with the driver mod. I'd like to hit some 11's after I throw LT's on it, not many bolt on only GTO's in the 11's.
