I work off shore and the commute to the heliport from Houston is starting to suck, not to mention being 6-7 hours from the office in Harvey when I need to go in or get called out for a job and need to be in Galliano or Houma at 5am the next morning. Lafayette seems about right since it's closer to Houston then Harvey but a good bit closer to the office than Houston is. Also not that far from the heliports I fly out of. Whats the car scence like out there? Also what areas suck? I didn't really care much for living in New Orleans when I was there. Looking forward to no emissions testing.

 

there is quite a few f-body,vettes, mustangs, and hot rods around lafayette. but its just kinda hard to get everyone together.

Looking at this summer, just dependant on a few factors with work. When are your usual meet days? Since I come up 90 to get to I-10, I'll most likley have to stay a day or two over the weekend to apartment hunt. The T/A isn't stock but I most likley will leave it in Houston where it has a garage to stay in.

 

our meet days haha. well were are currently trying to setup a new location and a day of the week. We have a couple spots we are looking at and are going to check with the management to see if its ok with them to do a weekly thing.

It sounds like we will start the Weekly meets off there. Then if we have trouble with rice or low-riders coming in our meets we will find another spot.

That works out, I usally crew change fridays. So I may have to stop by one of these meets on my way back to Houston.

I work offshore for Chevron..crew changing in ICY. I might could go visit Lafayette meets if they are on days when im at the office. Our office is next to the mall.

 

So how did it go the other night, found the thread a day late?

 

We had 7 cars out the first night and a few that came later.not to bad for the first meet and when it gets warmer we should have a better turn out

 

for a very last minute meet it was a pretty good turnout. think we might have double next week if the weather is better
