Yea I plan on taking it out when I get back and get things straightened out.. I want to swap in my 3.90 Gears and make a few adjustments..that is pretty much all I have to do. Then I'm sure I'll have to invest into another Driveshaft..I don't think the LS1 one is going to hold up..lol

Now, I know someone who was racing well above 150mph on a highway one day. Funny how that's better than a few burnouts in an open parking lot with no kids in the immediate area.

And Merv is still Merv

Well....true. I never said it was a good idea, and I got caught doing it. I'm just glad the guy with the vette had a smart mouth and I didn't. He got towedand an afternoon in jail and I got a $200 ticket. Oh well. **** happens, maybe I shouldn't be so judgmental all the time.

you might want to consider getting a shorter gear a 3.90 is going to require alot of slipping. i am on 4.30's with a 26in slick. 70mph is at 2100 rpms

I'm shifting at 6500RPM's..with 26" Tire and 4.10 Gears my 4th would top out at 120mph in the 1/4 mile. I've already trapped over that with the Auto in the Car on the old motor..no doubt in my mind the T56 setup will get a few mph higher cause they always do..and expecially for me with the new setup. The 3.90 Gear shifting and redlining at 6500 RPM's tops at 130mph..so that is pretty much where I need to be.

I'm not trying to go all out..I'm trying to keep the car from breaking a bunch of **** coming out of the hole. I figure if it spins a little bit it's not breaking anything. Ya 4.10's and a 28" Tire would really bite..no doubt. If I can get it to hook a mid to high 1.6X 60ft then I'll be happy.

I would say just disconnect the End-links..but from the last line I see you are trying to gut it all out.

i didnt know you were only goin for a 1.6 60ft you would probably be able to get that on some drs... mine is doin 1.51's now

i am not totally gutting the car just trying to get it a bit less fat and get the weight in better places... it still looks like a full weight car on the inside.

Damn! 1.5 60ft with a practically full weight car!!! Its all I could do to get a 2.04, 60ft. Gears and no stall are killing it.

That's pretty good..when I had 3.73's with the Auto and a SS3600 I was cutting 1.56's consistantly..granted the 6spd will take a little more finesse to launch..but the Car is capable. It's just how hard I want to push it.

if you have the correct gearing it requires no finess. i leave the line at 7500. i am basically hp limited now the more power it has been making the better the 60's get. i need a sway bar and some afcos

Merv I don't think your realizing that the lower gear will help more getting out of the hole. Less bog less parts breakage also. Lower gear will hit the tire a little harder which will no let them dead hook. JMO

I do understand that aspect of it..as in I know that a 4.10 and a 28" tire would work great for me and what my current setup is. I may end up goin that route eventually..for now I was just wanting it to get out of the hole pretty decently and pull nicely from there..the 3.90's and a 26" Tire would do that.

Some people like to do burnouts. There were taliban kids playing volleyball 300ft away. They probably thought it was cool anyways.

That was a good burnout though.

I am sure that some Arrides guys will be there. If you would like to talk to us come talk to us. Try to not ramble on about your own car because that would probably give people the wrong impression (not saying names).
