FYI, $400 isn't too far out of the ball park for an LT1 with stock manifolds. Book time on doing LT1 tune ups pays about 6-8 hrs. Most shop labor rates are $70-100/hr. Do the math on that.
We can take care of it. Nobody gives the ole LT1 love anymore, but we do.![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
Thanks Ron!

Yeah, $400 isn't too bad for a shop to do it considering the time and effort it takes. You could try tackleing it yourself if you have an assortment of swivel sockets, a lot of time, patience, and thin arms don't hurt.

We usually wind up doing header installs when it's time for plugs because it makes the job easier (not that headers on an LT are "easy"), but it also makes future plug changes a breeze. Not to mention the LT1 manifolds suck so damn bad, they pick up 25-30rwhp from headers.
