Five star chevrolet warner robins ga
I recently purchased a 97 firebird forumula ws6 in warner robins ga. 67,000 miles, oil changed every 3500 miles with mobil 1 synthetic, every oil change is logged, i don't know why i didn't catch this when it happened, but my sales man rode with me on the test, and he had me turning on every little street he could find "trying to keep me out of traffic" but now i see why because the rear end whines, and he knew that therefore he never let me get over 45mph so i would hear the whine. I know i bought the car as is and i understand that releases them from the deal, but just because they don't have to fix it dont mean they can't....after 2 weeks of pressure i thought i finally talked to the right person and he told me to bring it in for a diagnosis, then tells me my whole rear end needs to be replaced and it would cost $2889 to fix it, when asking about the transmission tap, he looks me straight in the eye and tells me that that rattle is normal for the transmission in those cars and that the noise is me not pressing the clutch in far enough and it not being all the way in gear.....i guess he thinks i was born yesterday, but this is what i wanted to let anyone out there thinkin of doing business with them to watch out because they will screw you in a heart beat!!!

First off, let's get this out of the way, if he told you to stay out of traffic, that sign would instantly tell me to either A. Punch it into traffic or B. Drive back to the stealership and tell him to **** off.
Second, $2889 for a rear end can get you a nice 9", 12 bolt, etc. rear end that will be a million times better than the stock one.

I am only about 45 miles from there and have both a 3 channel and a 4 channel 3.42 rear if you want to just throw a stocker in there that doesn't whine. I'd part with one for about a tenth what they want to rebuild yours as long as I can keep the brakes and backing plates off of mine or your old one. I'd also take your old rear for some money off too. Let me know if I can help.
