Default Stolen : 1999 trans am 6 speed 40k miles

I own a carlot in Anniston, Alabama. I had a 1999 Trans Am, Red, 6-speed, gray interior, 40k miles. The car had WS6 speedline wheels with brand new Nexen tires. It had a SLP lid and Borla exhaust, other than that the car was original. It was stolen either Saturday or Sunday night.

Please contact me or call my lot 256-237-1271 if you have any information or see any parts from this car come up for sale!

Wow I just looked at this car on Craigslist (if I'm not mistaken) on Friday! Bastards! I had my '02 stolen in November 2011 and have still not gotten over it. I'll be on the lookout for the car and/or parts. There is a lot of thuggery here in Montgomery and they love their Cutlasses with LS1s in them. 2 years ago, they stole at least 6 of them within the course of 3-4 months. If you look at my profile, you can find my thread I made back in 2011.

Were the keys used? If not, is there anything to look for as far as possible theft damage, like a broken window or ignition lock, or do you think the T/A was simply hauled away?

I live in Anniston and I pointed this car out to my wife a few days ago while it was on your lot. That stinks, man. I'll keep my eyes peeled. Good luck.

Unfortunately no. This is the second f-body I have had stolen in the last 2 years. I will just have to start pulling them in at night. No glass was broken, which these cars are very easy to get in how the window glass is.

Rushin - The other f-body I had stolen was a 02 SS 6 speed, it ended up in Montgomerey in about a million pieces.

Why not get one of those fancy steel cement posts swinging gates that big dealers use to lock it down after closing

Wow. That's such a shame. If you don't mind me asking, what ended up happening in the first case after the car was found?

Insurance covered it. I won't be able to turn this one in, I can't afford another claim. I had a 2006 Ford F-350 King Ranch Diesel stolen last year which was a $20k claim. If I turn in another one they will cancel my insurance. I really need to find this car!

Just to give you an idea of what they did to the last truck I had stolen. It is really sad people are so low they will destroy a truck that was almost brand new.

I really hope to find this car before it ends up like this.

I have always liked letting customers pull through the lot at night and during the weekend. Looks like that is what I am going to have to do though.

Is this a regular problem for dealers in our area?

You can add me to that list mine was stolen awhile back on my b day here in Montgomery had video and the detective didn't want it and was just a plain *** toward me. I miss that car that was a milestone in my life.

Any chance you can share that video with me? I've been fortunate enough to be friends with a detective for several years (it's a given that he helped with my investigation) and would like to give him some evidence to at least look at. If you'd like, just PM me and I'll give you my email address.

To the OP: where did they find the F350? I was told that the guy that stole my vehicle actually got put in jail for a brief period only a couple months after my ordeal, all because he stole a Lo Jacked F150 off of the Stivers lot. Wondering if the same guys are doing it... I would guess they at least know each other.
