F-Body week July 15-22, 2006 in Myrtle Beach
#165
JULY 22, 2006 update. There will be NO TNT because the track screwed us. They were supposed to get their permits and everything in order and they did not. We just found out tonight! Right now we are looking at moving the Car Show. We will know something definitely tomorrow. We tried moving both events to another track, but the closest track, Darlington, is hosting the Quick 8 Outlaws.

All the events are on www.fbodybeachweek.com and are correct except for the Saturday event which we will be able to at least have a show/cruise in Saturday at Planet Hollywood. Check with the fbodybeachweek website or just come to the events for the latest.

I didn't go, but having experianced myrtle beach in the summer time, traffic and stupid tourists......I think the fall would be a much better time to go to myrtle beach. Late sept. would be perfect for next year, tourists are all gone, A LOT less traffic, less crowded places to eat, less police action, cheaper hotel rates, still warm enough to have your t-tops off and go swimming.

Hey guys check this out: http://southeastmusclecars.com/video...ebeach/1LE.wmv
This guy was the highlight of the friday event.
The best part I think is where he claims he can get a 70% increase in hp just from changing the serpentine belt.

i dont think combining mustang week and f-body week would be a very good idea. they have enough problems out of Mustang Week as it is (another wreck this year, and another spin-out in the same exact place), and throwing hopped-up f-bodies into the equation would just make it that much more dangerous. i just got home from MW today. i'd love to be able to make both events, but i doubt i'll ever be able to take 2 weeks off in a row at work. i think september would be a great idea too, but thats up to yall. my Z has never been down the strip at the beach, heh.
