Default need help from the southerners

Last year Quicksilverado bought a forged shortblock ( as a backup for his stock motor) from someone who shall remain nameless for now ( not a southerner) Anyway, he didnt go over it very closely...a little naive yes...but it did have the diamond pistons and lunati rods so he figured all was good. We go to start putting heads on it today and i noticed 3 CRACKS in the block in the aluminum betweeen the cylinder sleeve and the water jackets on cylinders 3-5 and 7!!!! I saw it and was like "oh **** Dave...this block is JUNK!" So now he needs a 5.7 aluminum block. If anyone has a good hookup on one, it would be greatly appreciated. This is his daily driver work truck so it really has him in a bind. I normally don't ask for favors but I am now...he got phucked hard and didnt even get a kiss. If the seller makes it right (I seriously doubt he will) then you'd get your block back + shipping and a little to boot for the favor. Dave lives in Ga...marietta... and i would probably come get it if you are in the southeast. Thanks guys!

Damn Jerry.. all I have is a block with a hole in one sleeve. If he wants it to to a big bore or something out of, he can have it. I hate to see people get screwed over.

lol..gomer... sounds about as useful as the one he has. it has a big spot on the side that was welded up too.....Dave was a little too trusting on that deal but you know how it goes...live and learn. I'll find him one. He needs a stock block basically...he can have it bored to 3.905 to fit his pistons/rods from the junk block. I hate to see people get screwed like THAT! When my motor blew, he actually had offered me this one to get me back up quickly. Tony oughta donate his motor...he hardly ever uses it I did see that he made a few passes at steele

Yep.. he's only been spraying it with the 100 dry. I have a few other mods to add to it before the track rental at MMP on Oct 22nd
