Yes. much stronger clutch. Since your in ATL, I'll sell you my never been used LS2 C6 flywheel and all you'll need to buy is the LS7 clutch assembly, pilot & TO/Slave. I bought mine from Fred Beans.

The lightweight FW is more than double the cost of the LS2 FW.

That's what I bought for my car. The Textralia rep told me I should be good for a looong time.And I've heard nothing but great things about them. Too many bad Spec 3 stories out there for my liking.

I did not, I paid for it to be installed. I know this, the Excedy and Stock flywheel bolts do not work. Had to improvise with some ARP's.
