I am going to start shopping around for a place to do an exhaust setup on my truck. I think I really want to go with Hooker mufflers since they give the rawest tone that I've heard so far... but how much should an average price be for the mufflers, 2.5" stainless piping in a true-dual form the stock cats back, then dumped both before the axle?

IDK about andy's. my g/fs parents use to always take their cars there; tune ups, emissions, about anything. well they had a problem with one of their cars, changed their oil and i guess didnt tighten the drain plug and the engine locked up. well they took it to andy's and they said it was fucked and offered them $250 for the car, a 95 escort. well they took it back to their house, her brother replaced the timing chain and a few other things for like less than $300 and ran fine.
i went there one time asking about exhaust and they were very rude. they just seem shady to me

I agree...The industry standard is Aluminized tubing, which will last as long as most folks own a vehicle, and then some... Stainless will be big bucks- I suspect the $286 system mentioned above was actually Aluminized steel-
