very illegal..but if it is on a wildlife tag or a tag that does not feature the county its not illegal..i know i had a heated discussion with a cop one night about it...they are ******** around here about that stuff

I dont think its really a big deal, I have a plate frame and nothing is said to me. I pulled my county sticker off my tag. It started to peel off, so I helped it! It really doesnt matter what county you are from, so why do they need to see it and hell some tags dont even have it on there. You can customize a tag to say anything you want it to say on www.traffictalk.com I gotton like 6 frames made. I change them out.

I have only had one cop mentien anything about my tag frame, he was fishing for drunks at the time and needed something to pull me over for. He didn't crap in my corn flakes and I didn't crap in his, since I wasn't the fish he was looking for, he didn't bug on it. I'm sure that if I had given him a bunch of attitude,,,, he would have thought more about giving me a ticket for it.
ATLHwyRacer is correct. If you tag had a county sticker on it, it can not be obscured. Simple remedy, get a tag that doesn't have a county sticker. Tell them your tag was lost or whatever.
