I think many are reading this wrong. I've been two times a year since 2000 and there have been days when the track prep was better than others. That is the same for any track. On SDR's bad days when the prep wasn't so good, it was still as good or better than Commerce's good days, it was better than Paradise's good days and better than I remember Savannah. No,, it's not better than I remember Carolina's track but from I've witessed {once} and from what I've heard,, Carolina is about the best hooking track around.
Honestly folks,, SDR is not too bad. I've seen plenty of good 60fts from there. Heck, a friend got his best 60ft ever down there- a 1.36 if I remember right. So track prep can't be that bad. Remember, this a fun event, no money to be won,,,, just plastic trophies and lots of runs for your money. We will try to talk to Ed and see if we can get a good prep for the event but we can't nor can anyone else guarantee a perfect track.

my best 60' is also from SDR (1.37). I have been to every F-body and most of the Mustang shootouts for years and it's usually pretty decent until the street tire cars hit the track trying to see who can spin the longest. And I have seen them "prep" the track many times, maybe not a full scrape, but I've seen the VHT broken out quite a bit. It realy is a decent track all the way around IMO.

SDR is probably the best track in GA, although Carolina is a better and not too far away. But please try and make it, should be a great event and a good chance to get in some good passes! Also, try out the bracket racing!
