Welcome, I live about an hour from Roanoke, right below Wytheville if you've ever heard of the place.

I'm about thirty minutes away (Blacksburg/Christiansburg)

I know a guy in Giles County (about 1.5hrs from you) that does fantastic paint work (he is currently painting a MINT Shelby GT350).

Hey Zac, I can get you his contact info. Shoot me an email to niphilli@vt.edu as a reminder (my old school address). His prices are reasonable, but if you are looking for a 'standard' job you may want to try Prices Body Shop in Blacksburg. They do tons of insurance work. They may not do the hood if you are looking for it to be mounted though (unless it is OEM). They refused to paint and fit the hood on my Trans am because it was aftermarket (and they have had bad experience with fit on aftermarket pieces in the past). The shop in Giles County does incredible work and could probably do it for around the same money, not sure if they would want to take on a smaller job though.

Godo to meet ya

Located in Norfolk myself, not sure how far that is from Roanoke. A few hours I'd guess.

Paint shops I don't know, mechanics, well I ended up taking my car to NC to get all the motor work done so I guess that says it all.

Take it to Carolina Auto Masters in NC (Jeff Creech).

I'm in Glade Spring, VA. About 2 hrs. southwest of you on I-81. I am about 10 miles east of Abingdon and about 25 miles northeast of Bristol. I can't say that there's any mechanics or bodymen in this area that I would recommend.

I was born in Rocky Mount, Va. just east of Roanoke and have been away for a very long time. My grandparents ( Bernard's ) owned Claytons' Place in Union Hall, Va. which is long gone. I was always impressed with the beauty of the cars in that area and find it hard to believe ya'll can't find a good body or paint shop there. Good luck

Your best bet is gonna be Creech at carolinaautomasters.com... I know a lot of LS2 guys that swear by him... When I finally mod the SS, I'm taking it to him... According to the guys I talk to, he is one of the best on the east coast...

I had alot of work done at Tick Performance in Mount Airy NC and they did good work and were cool guys. Ive heard alot about Creech also. I was curious if there was something around here closer than 2-3 hours away lol.

I'd definetly say your best bet is to go down to NC, there are lots of shops that do that work down there.

You could always check the Dynojet and Mustang websites and see who in your area has one. I grew up in Roanoke and "south" of Roanoke in Rocky Mount. I moved out in 89, joined the Navy, got out in 95 and moved to Raleigh NC. I don't have a ringing endorsement for CAM (Creech), I plan to go to Mayhem Motorsports in Cary NC.
