Me and Wes went to Steele tonight. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. We got there at 9 when they open. Didnt get in till 9:30. They didnt get done prepping the track till 10:30. Then got in line and ran once and it was about 12 after that. Got back in line and got tired of waiting so we left. Also spun cause the track wasnt prepped worth a damn.

I spoke to them at sonic too, they told me they were from trinity??? They also asked me who "the man" is around florence. I told them not much racing goes on down there (except for me and Jake getting beat by a scion tc). Its crazy that everyone was out Thursday night. We should meet up sometime.

I passed them coming across the bridge and got up next to the TA and the convo kinda went like this..
Me: Is it stock?
Them: Yeh!
Me: Doesn't sound it...
Them: Oh.. umm.. yeh..
Me: What's done?
Them: Converter and nitrous..
Me: Sweet.. What size shot?
Them. Ah.. umm.. 150..
Me: Sweet..
Them: What's done to yours?
Me: Nothing much, heads.. cam..
Them: Oh..
Me: Yep.
Them: Sounds good.
Me: Thanks..
Green light... I went straight.. they went right..

I'm logging in and making my first post in over 3 years so that this will be very clear.
As a rule, I DO NOT tune anyones forced induction or nitrous car that has their own version of HPtuners/LS1Edit/EFILive. It is nothing against you, it is just something that has bit me in the past and I'll never let it happen again.
Josh, you know I have helped you out on parts and stuff in the past and will not hesitate to help you out again, but I just can't tune the car. If you want to meet up at the dyno one day and let me "coach" you and show you what you need to do, I don't mind at all. I'm just not going to do a "paid tune" on the car or anyone elses that fall into that catagory. I hope you see where I'm coming from

I made 3 passes in Ed's car and he made 5. It was hooking good for slow cars. The gates open at 9 but we don't run a car until 10 is pretty annoying. It took just a bit longer this time because a car that was testing earlier broke. They still never run before 10 though. 90% of the time I'm there I'm not there to race so I usually look passed everything. I definitely understand where you are coming from. I've seen it many times before.

Since there weren't any motor cycles there I didn't remember about the cars with slicks. That is definitely another very annoying part. You've been waiting your turn in line for 30, 45, 60 minutes. You get to the front only to be stopped. Then you get to sit there for another 10, 20, 30 minutes while they run every single motorcycle that was off to the side. Then run every race car that just pulls into the staging lanes and goes straight to the burnout box. 60% of the time one of the race cars has a problem and they have to check the track so there is another 10-15 minutes.
With all that if I'm going to the track it will still have to be Steele. It's 30 miles from me and Montgomery is 100. Never been to the Huntsville track but it's even further. If MMP started a little later I would give it more consideration. Gas prices aren't nearly as big a concern now when I look at 200 miles round trip vs 60.
