anyone know any good transmission shops in alabama?

 

Charlie's Transmission in Hueytown built the transmission in my turbo Regal years ago. It's still going. Fast turn around and very reasonable prices.

 

word, (a4 88k miles) the car slipped once last month and it wasnt low on fluid but hasnt done it since..but its only a matter of time before it gets worse lol a found a 6 speed swap online for 2grand with everything but the ecu, when this 4l60e blows up...which it will you think it would be worth just doing the swap i know id be spending probably a grand more after everything is said and done but it would be a 6 speed

 

You could definitely have the auto built for less than a grand, especially if you pulled it out and re installed it yourself. I've never swapped a vehicle from auto to manual or the other way around so I have no idea what all is involved but I'm sure it's a whole lot more work.

 

Get a trans cooler (50$) and the trans will last way longer, heat kills them. Don't hot lap it either.

My car will be back up and running in a couple months, build thread in sig... Looking forward to seeing some of you guys back in Huntsville again.

I know that feel. I'm piecing my car together, it's a driveable project. The car is great beside the a/c compressor took a crap on me, and I bought it with a bad 5th, well the synchro acts up sometimes. Full exhaust on it already. Payed 4k for it with clean title.

Was wondering if anyone recognized it, came form the tuscaloosa area.

 

I'll definitely be going again, albeit without the mods I had planned to do by now. Still fun to do the cruise and spectate, though.
