Default Need Help With Lid

My MTI Lid just came in. On my stock lid, there was a wire connected into the lid; however, the MTI lid does not have this connection. What do I do?

Are you talking about the A.I.R. system? The tube that is connected to your stock lid? If you are talking about this, just get a small breather and zip tie it to somewhere where is secured.

So it doesn't need to be connected into the MTI Lid?

No not the tube he said a "wire". that goes to the factory lid.You need to drill a hole in your new one and take the grommet out of the old one and install it.I think it is your inlet air temp sensor.

If he's talking about the IAT sensor, all you have to do is take the grommet/sensor out of your stock lid and put it into you MTI lid.

Guys, I am talking about the IAT sensor and rubber grommet. I'm assuming that the only option is to drill a hole into the new lid and slip in the IAT sensor and rubber grommet. Correct?

If you don't have a hole, I guess so. My MTI lid came w/ a hole though... weird.

Yeah, my SLP lid came with a hole for it, too. Might want to check with MTI to see if you got some bogus lid.

Interesting, I've never seen one without an IAT provision, either. But, what Chris said above.

I called MTI over the weekend, they said that the new lids do not have the holes for the IAT sensor and rubber grommet. I drilled a hole and used the IAT sensor and rubber grommet from the stock lid.
